With Easel Toolbox, you can save time by storing custom bits and materials for quick and easy set-up. In time, your carve settings and post-carve feedback will help Easel calculate better settings for all users.
Note: Easel Pro subscribers can take full advantage of the Easel Toolbox by using Easel Pro’s stored cut settings feature. Bits and materials in your Easel Pro Toolbox with stored custom cut settings will auto-populate for your projects. This streamlines the carve set-up process and improves your project workflow.
Both Easel and Easel Pro users can add and save custom bits into their Toolbox. Only Easel Pro subscribers, Easel Pro day pass users, and Easel Pro free day users can carve with custom bits in their Toolbox.
Once you're logged into Easel, click on the Easel icon in the top left corner to open the Account pop-up. Click on the Toolbox tab.
Select Bits from the top navigation.
Click the Add Bit button in the top right corner. Select Custom from the dropdown menu.
Type in a custom name for your bit. Select your bit type (Upcut, Straight Cut, Downcut, V) and enter the bit's cutting diameter. If you are adding a v-bit, enter the angle of the v-bit.
Click Save to add the bit to your Toolbox.
Close the Account pop-up when finished to navigate to your project.
Bits added to your Toolbox automatically appear in the bit dropdown menu when you are choosing a bit for your project.
Both Easel and Easel Pro users can add bits from the Inventables store into their Toolbox. Easel and Easel Pro users can carve with any Inventables bits in their Toolbox.

Select the Inventables for the type of bit you would like to add. Use the filters to help narrow down results and locate your bit.
Click Save to add the bit to your Toolbox.
Close the Account pop-up when finished to navigate to your project.

After adding a bit to your Toolbox, navigate to the bit dropdown menu above the preview pane in Easel.
Click on the bit you want to use for your project.
If you are using a custom bit and/or material, make sure to input the cut settings for your bit. Feeds and speeds recommendations are often provided by the bit manufacturer.

Keep in mind that your Toolbox is linked to your account, not a specific project. This allows you to access your custom bits and materials across all your projects. Deleting a bit removes it from your Toolbox permanently. This will also remove it from your other project files.

Select Custom for the type of material you'd like to add. Type in a custom name for this material and choose the material type (Wood, Metal, Plastic).
Click Save to add the material to your toolbox.
Close the module when finished to navigate to your project.
Materials added to your Toolbox automatically appear in the material dropdown menu when you are choosing a material for your project.
Note: The rendering of custom materials will render as generic tones in the high-definition preview pane. At this time, textures and colors will not match custom materials.
