Shape Names - Beta Release

We’ve released a new feature to Beta Testers that allows users to name shapes in Easel.

Users enrolled in Beta testing will be able to select and name shapes in their projects. To be part of Beta testing, click the “Enroll in beta testing” button in the Options tab in the Easel account modal.

To add a name to a shape or group of shapes, select it in the 2D editor. At the bottom of the Shape editor, users will find a new input to name the selected shape or group. Shape names can be edited and deleted once added.

Shape names won’t apply to drill points, line segments, or text boxes – or to volume groups that contain any of those elements. When ungrouping a named group, one of the shapes in the group will retain the label so it is not lost.
